Intersting Current Events article
Hi, I'm soooo sorry I havent been on in a really long time. I was super busy all summer, and now school started, I should have time to blog on weekends though, so maybe I'll try to post every Saturday... I don't know. Well anyway, in social studies today, we were doing current events, and my teacher showed us this article. The title may sound gross, but it's not that bad.
Human organs found in Florida storage locker

Pensacola, Florida -- A former medical examiner crudely preserved human brains, hearts, and lungs in soda cups and plastic food containers found inside a storage unit in Florida, authorities said Tuesday.
A man bought the contents of a storage unit at an auction last week in Pensacola and made the gruesome discovery after being overpowered by a strange smell while sifting through furniture and boxes. Investigators found formaldehyde, a chemical used to embalm and preserve bodies, leaking from 32-ounce drink cup with a cracked lid that was holding a heart, said the Jeff Martin, director of the District 1 Medical Examiner's Office in Pensacola. The unit had been rented previously to Dr. Michael Berkland. "How horrible it is for the families of these deceased to think someones loved one's organs are basically rotting away somewhere, it's horrible." Martin told the Associated Press. Berkland worked at the medical examiner's office from 1997 until 2003, when he was fired for not completing autopsy reports. Officials said he was also performing private autopsies in the area, but it's unclear if any of the organs were from autopsies he conducted while working at the medical examiner's office. The medical examiner's office is now cross-referencing names in their database during that time period, Martin said. Officials are also trying to locate family members for some of the victims, but many of the organs are not labeled, making it nearly impossible to identify them. No charges have been filed against Berkland. Officials are trying to determine whether Berkland broke any laws regarding biomedical waste and the storing and disposing of human remains. It was not immediatly known why the organs were being stored there. Martin said it's unlikely they could have been sold anywhere because they were not well-preserved. Many of the remains were stuck in household Tupperware and other containers that "aren't made to hold up to outdoor whether conditions. The chemicals inside of those containers is very caustic... a lot of those caustic chemicals were leaking out somewhere,' Martin said. Berkland told employees of the storage area that he planned to keep household goods and office furniture there, the company said. "We never had any indication that anything was out of the ordinary, nor did anyone on our manegement team ever notice anything amiss during daily property checks," said Diane Pigza, vice president of corperate communications.

I just found that interesting, and when I did more research on it, I found out that more than 100 people's organs were stored in the storage locker, and that it happened this year, August 28th, 2012.

*beep beep beep beep* Kylee’s alarm rang and she rolled out of bed. Finally, The last day of school! She got ready for school, then ran out to the bus stop. Her friend Lanie was already there, and she was looking at a book
about wild plants. “Did you know that dandelions are edible? “ Lanie always asked questions like that. “No.” Kylee answered. “So are clovers.” Lanie stated again. “Hey after school, do you want to go to the mall?” Kylee tried to change the subject. “I can’t. My mom wants me home right after school.” Lanie answered. “Ok, well, text me.”
Chapter 2
After school, Lanie went home, and to her surprise, Kylee and her mother were there. “I have no idea why we’re here.” Kylee stated. “We’re going to tell you” Kylee’s mom replied. “We’re going on vacation together!” “Really?!” Lanie and Kylee screamed at the same time. “Where are we going?” “You’ll see.” Answered Lanie’s mom. “You’re both all packed, lets go!” Kylee’s mom said. “Now?” Kylee asked. When they were all in the car, and Kylee had gone back in and gotten her phone, they set off. Three hours later, they arrived.

“When are we going to be there?” Kylee asked. “Now” replied her mom. “How can we be there if we are here?”Kylee asked. “There is here. This is where we are taking out vacation.” Kylee’s mom answered. Kylee looked around. All she saw were bugs, grass, dirt, mud, and trees. She was not going to like this. “But… It’s just dirt, mud and bugs! Where is the house?” “Right here.” Kylee’s mom replied plopping a tent down on the ground.

After pitching the tent, Lanie’s mom said “You girls can do whatever you want, we’ll eat around 6, and tomorrow we’re getting up at 7 to go for a hike.” Kylee made a beeline for the hammock, and Lanie ran off to an empty patch of dirt.

“Mom, how long are we going to be here?” Lanie asked her mom. “A couple of weeks. It’s going to be a pretty long vacation.” Her mom answered. “Ok, thanks.” Lanie had noticed a small shed behind a few trees, and she went to check it out. She was pleased to find it had gardening tools inside. She even found some seeds. She grabbed everything and ran back to her patch of dirt.

Summer's Coming up fast!
Summer's coming up sooo fast! I can't wait till June, because it's the most exciting month for me....... Because SCHOOLS OUT! Lol. Today I'm going to an animal park with my friend Jessika. And I'm going to try to post pictures. I have a TON on my phone and camera, just waiting to be uploaded. Anyways, I hope you have a good weekend! I don't know if I will be able to post tomorrow, but I'll get a post in as soon as I can.

Fun Day
Today my whole grade went to a high school to try out 1 class. I was wearing flip flops, and I ended up getting gym. Oh well, it was fun, except when I got gum stuck to my foot. Lol. The Hawaian dance at my school (also the last dance of the year) is June 1st, so I'm excited. Oh guess what!

I need Summer!
I need summer! I long for the days where its warm enough to swim, eat ice cream without getting cold, and a long break from school. I miss wearing shorts and tanktops, and flip flops.

My School Dance!
My school's Valentines day dance is tomorrow, and I'nm thinking about wearing either a purple shirt with hearts all over it with Jeans OR A pink tunic with grey dots all over it, with Grey leggings. Both outfits would have sneakers, a pink heart necklace, and my nails painted pink. Also for my hair I'm thinking about doing it in 2 ponytails or in a high ponytail.

I'm So Exited!!!
Last year I got my parents old laptop, but it didn't go online, so I needed to fix it. Now it's almost fixed, It FINALLY goes online. I'll be able to use it once I find a cord for it to plug into my mom's desktop computer (the one i'm using now) I don't know why but it won't go online without that. And Half of the charger is missing, so I need to find that.

Too many decisions, Too little time!
Okay so my dad is giving me one day to choose a kitten! It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard!!! I love them all SOOOOOOOOOOO much!
Also-
Tomorrow I have a writing class during study hall, and I can't think of a topic! I just finished a story.
1 HUGE DECISION! 1 small decision! Too little time!

I get out of school early January 25, So i might have more time for the blogs.

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog... The Random Writings of Me. If you saw my first blog when I first started blogging last year, you'd know that it's come a long way. It went from kit-cat-welcome.blogspot.com ("Welcome" as the blog name) to Pixygirl688.blogspot.com (Pixygirl688) to Everything AG (still pixygirl688.blogspot.com because I don't want to confuse my followers. Well, this blog is like a second of kit-cat-welcome.blogspot.com because I kinda miss it. I might even use that as the url. This blog is, like kit-cat-welcome, going to be just my random writings, or about nature, animals, and my other interests. My other blog is still my main one, but I just wanted to create this one, for it's sole purpose: just my blog. Like if I find websites I like, I'll post them here. I know this is my 4th blog, and I'm not going to have 10 blogs, most likely not anymore than this. This one kinda wraps it up, because it can have anything I feel like writing in this.
